The graphic represents the entry portal of the medieval village of Chiusdino, near Siena, the town of the "Palio" . In the year 1148, Chiusdino included a rural area around the town governed by the nobleman Guido Guidotti, father of Galgano who, as popular legend has it, was "the Saint of the sword in the rock". |
